we got a little snow this week and it was perfect for snowball fights and snowmen. while i kind of dread being out in the cold, the kids love the snow. and i've determined lately to play and interact more with my kids instead of just watching from the sidelines. so even though it was getting dark and was rather chilly, i helped the kids put on their snow gear (an event in and of itself), and we headed outside to our postage stamp of a backyard.
lula was determined to build a whole snowman family, but i talked her into just one! the snow was a little wet and heavy. so it packed really well. i don't remember the last time i built a snowman. it's probably been since i was a little girl myself. but it was actually really easy, and i thoroughly enjoyed myself!
lula started to help me by rolling the middle ball. but then she complained that it was hurting her back. oh my word! the drama! she didn't have any trouble ordering me around though, and then destroying the snowman once it was finished!
nice they were able to get one snowman out of that snow!! wish my kids could experience this, but it doesn't snow here.
