last weekend we lit up our fireplace using old wood flooring we'd ripped out of the house and brush we'd ripped out of our backyards. we invited some friends over and had a s'mores party. the evening was chilly, but so lovely as we sat around the fire on our faux brick patio drinking hot tea and sharing stories.
but that was after the kids had descended on the marshmallows and graham crackers and hershey bar chocolate like ravenous wolves! you'd have thought you were in the wild with uncontrollable beasts hovering and grabbing! even with four adults and only three children, it was out of control! but it was hilarious and fun! at one point i looked up to see diesel with two big pieces of chocolate in each hand taking bites from each! and i have no idea how many marshmallows were consumed both roasted and raw!
yeah for s'mores!
