if you've been following us here or on instagram (@lulainlondon) at all, you've probably caught glimpses of diesel's diva attire: a.k.a. bead necklaces, hair clips, gemstone rings, bracelets, and headbands! while i think it's hilarious (he is a baby after all and just exploring textures and bright colors), jay is a little disturbed to see his boy in such girly dress.
we've discussed buying diesel a sweatband to accommodate his need for accessorizing, and after wearing a very girly headband around this weekend, jay decided now was the time! so on our way to dinner saturday, we stopped in at academy sports and found d a lovely, patriotic sweatband.
he LOVES it! he's already claimed it as his own and wants to wear it all the time, which is just fine with us. it gives him a slightly quirky, marches-to-the-beat-of-a-different-drum look, perfect for his strange little personality.
this morning he saw his shoes and insisted i put them on him as usual. then he saw his sweatband and insisted on that as well. once he was all geared up, he headed towards the door saying, "bye-bye" even though we weren't going anywhere. i guess the sweatband now symbolizes being dressed and ready to go!
we'll have to invest in some more to go with various outfits since i think it's going to become a staple. he might need some wristbands too!
