Kids rooms can be tricky.  For me I want them to be cute but not too cute.  Decorated but lived in. I don't adhere to picking a theme, personally.  I much rather like to pick a color or an inspiration piece and build from that.  My favorite kids rooms are simple, whimsical and interesting.  

I have four little ones and with our big family, we have had to play musical rooms often, switch furniture, mix and match pieces and go with the flow.  I guess that is part of the fun of it....even if you have to share a room (which two of mine do).

These are some of my favorite spaces at the moment.  I love these non-fussy, not overdecorated children's rooms.  There is just something slightly magical about each room that would be sure to spark creativity and provide comfort for the little ones. Wouldn't you agree?
