I ended my last blog post with "My favorite by far though is when he started our anniversary dinner conversation with, 'You're not that young anymore.' Don't worry. He redeemed himself, and I'll talk about that next time!"
Well, it's "next time!" So after I laughed and coughed and complimented Jay on his way with words once again, I allowed him to explain himself. He went on to say that I didn't look young anymore but that I was still beautiful. He compared me to a younger Catherine Zeta Jones. He said she always looked classy and elegant and beautiful even though she didn't have her youth to hide behind anymore. He continued by saying that the true test of beauty was when someone wasn't in their twenties anymore but was still beautiful. Lots of women look pretty when they're younger, but it's just their youth. Even though I'm not in my twenties anymore, Jay still thinks I'm beautiful.
I think he redeemed himself.
