A while ago I stumbled upon Rose & Grey, a most fabulous store located in the UK. Unfortunately they do not ship outside the UK, which is why I still do not own my dream couch: their gorgeous Vintage Leather Chesterfield or anything else from their store. I'm still waiting...and have tried to talk Jay into taking a trip there so I could buy some furniture! (He's not going for it...don't know why! :))
I love their kids' items...the Rush Hour Baby Bedding, Recycled Cardboard Play House, adorable Marionette Cushions, and Children's Melamine Dinnerware are among my favorites. But my very favorite is the Rustic Wooden Storage Box on Wheels.
I instantly fell in love, saved it to my desktop "Home Decor Ideas" file, and began insisting that Jay build one for Lula. It took a while to accomplish it, but we have our own not-so-great version that I'm nevertheless happy with and love.We used burlap over plywood, and I stenciled the lyrics to "You Are My Sunshine" around the sides...a song I frequently sing to my little one.
We've had it for at least a year now, and I've never quite felt that it was finished. First of all, I still want orange wheels on ours. I haven't been able to find any just plain, simple orange wheels. Anyone know of a source? And I'd also like the rough inside and edges of the box to be finished since I cringe every time Lula sticks her hand in the box in anticipation of her getting a splinter. Perhaps some day these things will be accomplished. Until then, here's our version:

Loved the burlap you added and the lyrics are perfect! I spent about an hour on your site last night and think we should meet up and hang out sometime!!
Your family is lovely!
